The Marine Discovery Centre (MDC) proudly announces that Professor Chris Daniels and Kaurna Custodian Karl Winda Telfer have accepted the role of Patrons of the MDC, Star of the Sea School, Henley Beach. MDC acknowledges the marvellous contribution of Barbara Hardy AO, leading environmentalist, who is retiring as inaugural Patron of MDC since 1987.
In this season of Advent we are called to wait expectantly for the coming of Jesus Christ.
The excellent new resource for teachers, jointly developed by CESA and AISSA, will assist schools and school personnel to develop policies and processes that support models of best practice for SBATs.
Catholic Earthcare Australia, the Archdiocese of Adelaide and the Diocese of Port Pirie invited leaders in their communities to attend a Creation and Reconciliation Pilgrimage held in the Flinders Rangers from the 6th-12th October.
Mary Camilleri, Staff Spirituality and Religious Formation, and Jamie Blowes, Principal Consultant, invited school and office leaders to attend an afternoon session of Theology in the Park
Friday, 21 November saw many visitors at St Joseph’s for Dyslexia -Aware Training to better understand what Dyslexia may feel like for students. Dr Neil MacKay led the workshop in an engaging, humorous manner, presenting many practical suggestions of ways to support students on their learning journey.
Attendees at Invent to learn were provoked to affirm and inspire the competent child as a citizen with values and 100 languages. This is an extension to the CESA Reimagining 0-18 with Professor Carla Rinaldi.
This 2 year Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education national project involving 4 CESA schools was an Australian Government initiative supporting the Closing the Gap agenda through implementation of the national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Action Plan 2010 – 2014.
Sue Kennedy-Branford has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Australian Council For Educational Leadership.
