Open Week
August 4-10
The School-based Apprenticeships/Traineeships (SBAT) Resource was jointly developed by Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) and the Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA). This resource is for teachers in schools who work with or want to learn more about school-based apprenticeships/traineeships (SBATs). It will assist schools and school personnel to develop policies and processes that support models of best practice for SBATs. This includes ensuring that students are monitored and supported throughout their apprenticeship/traineeship pathway.
The Hon. Sussan Ley MP, Assistant Minister for Education, with a responsibility for vocational education and training in schools (VETiS), spoke at the launch of this resource about the importance of VETiS pathways for our young people along with the need for high quality career counselling in schools. School-based Apprenticeships/Traineeships can provide an important pathway for young people who are on a trade pathway.
Catholic Schools Open Week is back for 2025 – and it’s your invitation to explore what makes Catholic education such a meaningful choice for your child.
