Role Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively support the Catholic Identity of St Margaret Mary's School and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life;
  • Have an ability to use initiative to engage children with their learning, while actively supporting their social and emotional needs;
  • Support individual and small group learning under the guidance of a teacher;
  • Show a passion for supporting students to achieve their best and nurture a positive culture for wellbeing and inclusivity;
  • Have excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills and knowledge and be confident to support young children in these key learning areas;
  • Help prepare and create resources, materials and displays to enhance learning experiences

The successful applicant will be required to have:

  • The equivalent to a Certificate III in Education Support or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role.
  • A current HLTAID004 First Aid certificate or be prepared to obtain.
  • A current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
  • A current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance.
