As a Catholic school, we promote a deep understanding of and commitment to Gospel values. Energised by the challenges of the rural setting, St Joseph’s seeks to provide an opportunity for every student to develop to their full potential.
St Joseph’s is renowned for its wonderful facilities, strong pastoral care programs, use of technology in classrooms and close involvement with families and the wider community. Our teachers and support staff are highly motivated and dedicated professionals who give generously of their time and talents.
We recognize that your child is an individual. The diverse range of learning activities offered by our professional teaching and support staff acknowledges the different learning styles and experiences of each child. We are proud of our long history, excited by our unique learning environment and pleased to offer you an affordable, values-based education for your child.
The Opportunity
The role provides scope to work across three year levels in a variety of subject areas. English and HASS subjects are taught in a Yr7/8 class (15 students) and a 9 class (10 students); RE is taught 7-9 combined; Visual Arts and Food Tech are elective classes taught 7-9 combined (13 students).
Primary Teachers are encouraged to apply as well as those with Middle School degrees. We look forward to supporting the successful applicant to teach in a somewhat hybrid model of Middle School. The St Joseph's staff is extremely welcoming and as a small staff, we work closely together to provide support and collegiality across R-9.
About You
We are looking for someone who can develop strong and positive working relationships with students and establish highly engaging learning environments in and out of the classroom. You will have expert knowledge within your learning areas and the curriculum; know how to teach and assess it and know your students. You will provide a learning environment that supports students to take responsibility for their learning and well-being, with an emphasis on Restorative Practices. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the wider education community, our teachers facilitate student learning and actively engage in their own continuous professional learning and personal learning and formation.

Their innovate solutions were presented to a panel of experts in the space industry.
