The Benedict Campus is a modern, well-resourced primary setting that balances tradition with innovation, supported by a strong sense of belonging.

As Deputy Principal, you will work in close partnership with the Principal and College Leadership Team to shape and lead our strong staff team to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed teaching and learning practices, while fostering a positive, inclusive and faith-filled school culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the Catholic identity of the College through leadership of liturgical life and faith formation.
  • Lead and support high-impact teaching and learning practices using data and evidence to improve outcomes for all students.
  • Champion the wellbeing and inclusion of students through the implementation of PBIS and other evidence-based practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, high expectations and continuous improvement among staff.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, families and the wider Port Pirie community.

  • Contribute to whole-school improvement planning, curriculum leadership and the development of inclusive and differentiated practices.
  • Promote innovation, digital engagement and excellence in classroom practices and student achievement.

About You

You will:

  • Be an active contributor to school, parish and community life.
  • Have an impact on fostering a safe, positive culture of inclusion that strives for equity and excellence.
  • Play a major role in leading ongoing school improvement through data and evidence-informed teaching and learning practices, improving learning outcomes for all students.
  • Focus on building a culture of welcome and active engagement for families and the wider community.
  • Build on staff commitment to being a professional learning community that has high expectations of growth, underpinned by appropriate support.
