Role Details

Deputy Principal, McAuley Community School

We are looking for a positive, dynamic and inclusive Deputy Principal to join our integral School Leadership Team at McAuley Community School in Hove, commencing at the start of the 2026 School year. This is an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming, vibrant, faith filled community. Working together with families to nurture each child’s educational and spiritual journey, inspired by the service of the Sisters of Mercy and anchored in our Mercy Keys of Respect, Compassion, Gratitude, Courage and Creativity.

 

The Opportunity:

  • Leader of Learning: Drive curriculum leadership and instructional excellence across the school, shaping cohesive and engaging learning experience.
  • SEQTA Lead: Oversee the use of SEQTA learning management system, ensuring consistency in data management, reporting and pedagogical practice.
  • Pathways Coordinator: Lead our transition program (“Pathways”) from Alive Early Learning Centre through Reception to Year 6, supporting continuity in learning and community engagement
  • OSHC Steering Committee Member: Serve as a key representative on the Out-of-School Hours Care (OSHC) Steering Committee, contributing to high-quality wrap-around care as part of our Alive ELC offering
  • Operational Oversight: Assist in daily operations, including managing relief teacher allocation timetables, staff rosters and classroom support
