Role Details

The Opportunity

St Joseph’s School Hectorville provides a nurturing and enriching environment for children beyond regular school hours. We are currently seeking dedicated Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) qualified and unqualified Educators to join our team.

Our commitment is to create a safe, engaging, and supportive space for children to thrive during before and after-school hours. The service is a valuable and integral part of our school and local community, and we welcome children from Pre-school to Year 6.

Regular hours will be negotiated with the successful candidates and interviews may be offered to candidates prior to the closing date. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily routines protect the safety, security & well-being of the children.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, families, staff and the wider school-community.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of an educational program and activities consistent with the National Quality Standard

About You

We are looking for educators with a genuine desire to work with children and be willing to engage with them in a positive, sensitive, and respectful manner. You will have:

  • Completed qualifications to work as a Qualified Educator as recognised by ACECQA for qualified positions.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with students, with experience working with children with special needs highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and food safety procedures would be advantageous.
  • Able to work with minimal direction and supervision, analyse and plan approaches to apply effective solutions to a range of problems.
