Role Details
Xavier College is seeking a dedicated and approachable Early Years Student Wellbeing Coordinator (POR2) to lead the wellbeing and pastoral care of our early years students at the Two Wells Campus. This role involves coordinating programs that promote, support and restore student wellbeing, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for our youngest learners.
This replacement, full-time role will be commencing as soon as possible and concluding Friday, 12 December 2025.
As the Early Years Student Wellbeing Coordinator, you will:
- Support and apply the Salesian ethos of the College through relationships with staff, students and parents/guardians
- Lead and support delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across Reception to Year 2, with a particular focus on early literacy and numeracy development and best-practice pedagogy
- Mentor and coach Early Years teaching staff to ensure curriculum delivery aligns with ACARA standards and supports diversity of students from Reception to Year 2
- Utilise student performance data to monitor progress, guide instructional strategies, and enhance overall student outcomes
- Promote student wellbeing and engagement by supporting positive behaviour strategies, collaborating with families, and developing personal wellbeing and responsibility plans as required
- Coordinate Early Years programs and transitional processes with the Early Years Student Wellbeing coordinator, including preschool visits, orientation activities, family communications, and support new students entering Reception
- Oversee the organisation and smooth delivery of Early Years events and routines, such as excursions, Book Week, Sports Day, and assemblies, fostering strong community involvement and operational excellence
- Provide effective Catholic leadership that reflects the values of the College
- Work collaboratively with all members of the Two Wells campus Leadership team
What you need to be successful
- A demonstrated interest and commitment to improvements in teaching and learning and wellbeing
- Ability to support the Salesian/Catholic ethos of the College
- Current Teachers Registration in South Australia and Teacher Accreditation in Catholic Education SA
- Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA
- Acquire and maintain Catholic Police Clearance to work in Catholic Education SA
- Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect – Education and Care certificate
- First Aid certificate (HLTAID012)
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Disability Standards for Education Training
