Our Lady Queen of Peace School is seeking passionate and innovative educators to join our vibrant learning community. We invite applications for a number of permanent teaching positions across Reception to Year 6, starting in January 2026.

We are looking for teachers who are committed to contemporary pedagogical practices and who will contribute positively to our school’s Catholic identity and Mercy tradition.

Key responsibilities:

The successful applicant will:

  • actively support and promote the Catholic identity and ethos of the school, delivering engaging and contemporary Religious Education experiences.
  • demonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary, innovative and inclusive pedagogies that focus on student engagement, inquiry and co-constructed learning across all curriculum areas.
  • design inclusive, evidence based learning programs informed by data, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • foster a positive and supportive learning environment that prioritises student wellbeing and social and emotional Learning, helping students develop self-regulation, positive behaviour, personal responsibility, and success as learners.
  • communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with students, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
  • be a dynamic educator committed to ongoing professional growth and collaborative learning with a willingness to implement new initatives.

Requirements:

The successful applicant must hold or be willing to obtain:

  • A current Working With Children Check / Catholic Clearance
  • Full-day (7-hour) RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care) training
  • RRHAN-EC update (if applicable)
  • Current First Aid certificate - HLTAID012
