Role Details

The Opportunity

We are looking for a diploma qualified OSHC Educator to join the St Joseph’s OSHC team. If you are passionate about children, possess strong organisational skills, and can adapt and contribute to a dynamic OSHC environment, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

The OSHC Educator will –

  • Support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Support the provision of a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for children, offering individual support and comfort when required
  • Implement daily routines as directed
  • Assist in the preparation of program planning for individual children and groups while contributing verbally to the program
  • Work with individual and groups of children as required
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Build and maintain professional, inclusive and positive relationships with children and their families
  • Support the service in attaining and maintaining OSHC Quality Assurance
  • Work in accordance with the OSHC National Standards for South Australia

About You

As the preferred candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to interact with children in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and, with guidance, as an individual
  • Ability to accept and provide supervision and direction
  • Approved ACECQA Certificate 3 level qualification.

This position requires availability for 5 days per week and across the school holiday period for Vacation Care.

The successful applicant will be required to attain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), undertake a Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect certification, and complete First Aid training prior to beginning in the role.
