Role Details

We seeking a Primary Teacher for 2026 for a permanent, full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our teaching team, you will:

  • Foster a love of learning in an engaging and inclusive classroom.
  • Establish routines and structures that promote a safe, productive and stimulating learning environment for all learners.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to support student academic growth and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a dynamic professional learning community.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support each child's development.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who:

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Identity of Tenison Woods Catholic School.
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of evidence informed learning theories and pedagogies including Explicit Instruction, Multisensory Learning and dyslexia aware practices.
  • Demonstrate experience and capability in using assessment data to support planning and have highly developed skills in designing learning programs that meet the specific needs of all learners.
  • Utilise your experience and expertise in inclusive education pedagogies and practices to provide a supportive learning environment for all students
  • Demonstrate a developed understanding of Positive Education to support student and community wellbeing
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues including ESOs, learners and parents the community.
