In Boarding Its Responsibility for Adolescents 24/7

For those working in boarding with around the clock responsibility for the students in their care, an understanding of adolescent development is a must.

Boarding school and residential and school staff from both Catholic Education SA and the Department for Education and Child Development benefitted from a training day on ‘Working with Adolescents’ conducted by youth motivational speaker and student engagement specialist, Nathan Hulls.

Staff members from St Joseph’s, Pt Lincoln and Rostrevor College joined with teachers and supervisors from Wiltja Residence and Woodville High for an inspiring and enjoyable day at Wiltja Residence which cares for Indigenous students.

Newly appointed Director of Rostrevor Boarding, Eugene Evans, commented on the program, ‘Nathan’s presentation was inspirational, he gets to the heart of how adolescents tick and how we can best respond to them.’
