Salisbury Parish Commissioning Mass

It has become a tradition in the Salisbury Parish that at the start of each year, the Catholic organisations within the Parish come together to celebrate their common purpose in building the Kingdom of God, and are commissioned in this work.

This year, Archbishop Wilson celebrated the Mass, in the presence of parishioners and the staff of the Parish, the schools -  Thomas More College, St Augustine’s and Holy Family Catholic Primary Schools and the local Centacare Catholic Family Services Office. In an uplifting liturgy, the Archbishop prayed that God would strengthen each person in their work; that they would grow in wholeness themselves so that they might reflect God’s image to those they serve. At the conclusion, all shared a relaxed afternoon tea, connecting across the organisations and looking forward to the year ahead.
