Open Week
August 4-10
Catholic schools throughout the State will observe Remembrance Day through liturgy, assemblies and in a special ceremony at West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide.
Each year the service at West Terrace Cemetery is attended by a number of dignitaries and focusses on a different aspect of remembering those who made the supreme sacrifice in war.
Rostrevor College Indigenous boarding students Michael (Mikey) Coombes from Melville Island and Dale Haynes from Ceduna will read a poem and Amber Ashlee from St Aloysius College will recite the Ode of Remembrance.
Bill Corey, a great supporter of Catholic Education SA, will deliver the commemorative address. Bill saw active service in World War II as a Rat of Tobruk in the Battle of El Alamein.
Catholic Schools Open Week is back for 2025 – and it’s your invitation to explore what makes Catholic education such a meaningful choice for your child.
