Each year around 130 teachers from 56 of Adelaide’s Catholic primary, middle and secondary schools meet to exchange information that will assist the smooth transition of primary school students to their next school.
There was a sense of strong commitment and collaboration when teachers met after school recently at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College to share their insights and advice to ensure that the best possible opportunities are given for the total development of the student in their new setting in 2015.
‘Feedback from the teachers involved indicates that this process which has been in place for nearly 20 years is most worthwhile and teachers are happy to give up their personal time to participate’ said Dr Marie Wood.
