Catholic Schools
Open Week
August 4-10
The entire school was bursting with colour and the sights and sounds of children expressing their cultural heritage. Everyone dressed up in different costumes and really enjoyed finding out about other cultures. Every class participated in a special activity that integrated with other curriculum areas, including Henna art, Vietnamese hats, Chinese lanterns and creating mandalas or dream weavers. The Canteen served delicious food such as Lasagne, Sushi, Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Italian Cakes and Spanish Churros. Diversity Day concluded with a special assembly which began with an Indigenous welcome to country followed by students from each class sharing a bilingual welcome, poems, songs and celebrations of our individual perspectives.
