The Australian flag at the Catholic Education Office, Thebarton, flew alone and at half-mast until midday on Monday as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in Nice, France, and in various places in Turkey during the preceding few days. As on commemorative days with respect having been paid, it returned to the masthead at 12 noon, as a symbol for us to work towards building a better world.
Compass Catholic Community in Davoren Park is set to double its capacity, announcing a $9 million expansion project to meet increasing enrolment demand. Since opening in January 2022, the fee-free learning community for young people aged 17-24 has grown rapidly.
