Comments from Project partners:
Dr Neil McGoran, Executive Director, Catholic Education South Australia:
“We are pleased to be expanding our provision of quality Catholic education to families in the northern suburbs. The school will be the 120th Catholic school campus in South Australia. This follows the successful development of new campuses at Two Wells, Davoren Park and Renmark in recent years. In May, we also announced plans to open a new school in Strathalbyn in 2029.
“This new school development is part of our commitment to expanding Catholic Education pathways and building an even stronger focus on student learning and quality teaching.”
Mr David Gallant, Managing Director and CEO, Walker Corporation:
“We are proud to partner with Catholic Education to bring our first school to Riverlea, giving thousands of families access to high quality education and the opportunity to stay at the same school from early learning, right through to high school.
“The new school is conveniently located in the heart of the first neighbourhoods we are building to ensure kids and parents only have a short walk from their front door to the school gates.
“Quality education has always been one of the central pillars in our vision for Riverlea, along with recreational facilities and wide-open spaces, shops and restaurants, transport and connectivity, all just 25 minutes' drive to the city.”
Sonia Kandel, Riverlea resident:
“It was really important to us when we chose to move to Riverlea that our son would have access to great education and amenities close to home, so it’s exciting knowing that when he’s ready to go to school, he can be at the same one from beginning to end with his friends from the area.”
Chloe Hallam, Riverlea resident:
“We’re building our home at Riverlea, and we can’t wait for our kids to be able to walk to and from school in a safe environment and learn locally with other children who live nearby.”
