The Opportunity
The College is seeking a dedicated and strategic professional to join our team as the Head of Finance & Operations to support the growth and operational excellence of the College. This role is pivotal in overseeing day-to-day and contributing to the strategic direction of the College.
The Head of Finance & Operations provides strategic leadership and drives the College’s financial, operational, human resources, and work health & safety functions, ensuring the long-term growth and stability of the College community. The role oversees forecasting, procurement and resource management to support College goals and requires strong discipline expertise, sound judgement and effective use of delegated authority.
Recognising the vital role of industry in the College’s success, the Head of Finance & Operations will build and maintain strong, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
As a member of the College Executive Leadership Team, the Head of Finance & Operations supports the Principal in leading and managing the College through a collaborative, service-oriented approach. This includes fostering professional partnerships with industry and the community and embedding the Vision and Mission of St Patrick’s Technical College throughout College life.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in financial, facilities, HR & WHS management, preferably within the education sector, and a commitment to our dynamic and innovative learning model grounded in Catholic social teaching and informed by industry.

Located in Northern Adelaide, St Patrick’s Technical College is unlike other schools - we are for young adults deliberately seeking a different educational experience. We are here for students wanting to learn in the classroom, within the workplace and on the job, enabling them to kick start their real world learning. The College is a purpose-built trade school offering education, training and apprenticeship pathways to Year 10-12 students.

You will be entitled to receive any salary increases that are granted to employees of SA Catholic Diocesan Schools. Any salary increase applies to gross salary only and excludes allowances.

Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) has welcomed the State Government’s decision to continue its funding commitment to non-government schools through to 2034, following the finalisation of the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement with the Federal Government.
Catholic Education South Australia has announced the first of multiple new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) to be delivered through a major partnership with Accord and Eden Academy.
The first ELC, co-located at Xavier College Two Wells, which will be known as Eden Grove is expected to open in Term 3, 2026. The $4 million purpose-built centre will cater for 141 children, offering care and learning from six weeks to five years of age. An additional Eden Grove ELC will open at Xavier College Riverlea Park in 2027.
