Role Details

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the team at St Brigid’s School as a Reception Teacher. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) contracted position, commencing on 21 July 2025 and concluding on 12 December 2025.

The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and work closely with school leaders, colleagues, and parents/caregivers to support and inspire student learning. We are seeking someone who can foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages every child to flourish.

The successful applicant will:

  • Actively uphold and contribute to the Catholic ethos of St Brigid’s School.
  • Be an energetic, positive, and dynamic educator, committed to professional dialogue and collaborative practice within a flexible learning environment.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum, with highly developed skills in contemporary, innovative, and inclusive pedagogies that support high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, fostering active engagement and individual growth.
  • Implement targeted strategies to promote positive behaviours and enhance student engagement.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, respectful, and supportive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Establish consistent routines that contribute to a productive and well-managed learning environment.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills in interactions with students, colleagues, parents/caregivers, and the wider school community.

Qualifications and Training:

  • South Australian Teacher Registration
  • RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care) Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate 
  • Catholic Education Clearance

Catholic Education South Australia has announced the first of multiple new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) to be delivered through a major partnership with Accord and Eden Academy.

The first ELC, co-located at Xavier College Two Wells, which will be known as Eden Grove is expected to open in Term 3, 2026. The $4 million purpose-built centre will cater for 141 children, offering care and learning from six weeks to five years of age. An additional Eden Grove ELC will open at Xavier College Riverlea Park in 2027.
