About the role
Cardijn College is seeking a dedicated Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team on a full-time basis - 45 weeks a year. Based at both our Noarlunga Downs and Christies Downs Campuses, this role will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and students across 2 of our campuses.
We will gladly accept applications for this role as either a Full-time ESO position or a Teaching POR.
What you'll be doing
Develop, implement, and improve WHS policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and update safety standards.
Oversee staff training, inductions, and compliance records.
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Promote a strong WHS culture and safe work practices.
Monitor workplace conditions and drive continuous safety improvements.
What we're looking for
TAFE qualifications (e.g. Diploma) in Work, Health & Safety (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with WHS legislation and practice.
High level communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills to work collaboratively and flexibly with, and support and assist others
Able to analyse, plan, identify and utilise skills and knowledge in some depth to effectively apply solutions to a range of finance and payroll-related problems

Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) has welcomed the State Government’s decision to continue its funding commitment to non-government schools through to 2034, following the finalisation of the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement with the Federal Government.
Catholic Education South Australia has announced the first of multiple new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) to be delivered through a major partnership with Accord and Eden Academy.
The first ELC, co-located at Xavier College Two Wells, which will be known as Eden Grove is expected to open in Term 3, 2026. The $4 million purpose-built centre will cater for 141 children, offering care and learning from six weeks to five years of age. An additional Eden Grove ELC will open at Xavier College Riverlea Park in 2027.
