Role Details

The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a permanent role as Community Support Officer commencing ASAP.  You will be part of the Catholic Identity Team, building connections with students and families in need of additional support.

About You
Are you an advocate for social justice and service, with a passion for helping students and families in need? Are you passionate about engaging members of our catholic school to deliver a welcoming and inclusive community.

This position is an 18 hour per week commitment during term time with some school holiday work required.  Days of work are negotiable.

The successful applicant needs to:

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Identity and Edmund Rice Tradition of our College using the College values of Faith, Relationships, Excellence and Diversity
  • Have a demonstrated ability to collaborate in a dynamic and flexible learning environment
  • Have a passion and dedication for supporting students and families with diverse needs and backgrounds
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community
  • Demonstrate pastoral care of all students and community members.

Catholic Education South Australia has announced the first of multiple new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) to be delivered through a major partnership with Accord and Eden Academy.

The first ELC, co-located at Xavier College Two Wells, which will be known as Eden Grove is expected to open in Term 3, 2026. The $4 million purpose-built centre will cater for 141 children, offering care and learning from six weeks to five years of age. An additional Eden Grove ELC will open at Xavier College Riverlea Park in 2027.
