Aquinas College, is looking for Expressions of Interest from a suitably qualified educator to join their Academic Team.
The salary will be commensurate with the successful individual’s experience and qualifications; there is some flexibility surrounding FTE, hours of work, and start date, to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Home to 195 tertiary students from regional and rural Australia, Aquinas is governed by the Archdiocese of Adelaide and forms part of the Catholic educational community in South Australia. The College delivers a detailed program of academic support, designed to assist students in their transition from school to university learning. In addition to helping students achieve at university, the academic team leads the academic life of the College, delivering a range of programs which include accountability coaching, mentoring opportunities, faculty-relevant seminars and study-related workshops.
The College is looking for an experienced educator, with a demonstrated track record of leading student programs and helping students achieve their academic and personal goals. The successful candidate will be a strong, engaging communicator who connects readily with university students, with the capacity to lead an active program of academic and wellbeing seminars.
The successful candidate will be supportive of the College’s Catholic values and mission. They will be flexible, creative and energetic, with the capacity to function as part of a small but highly effective team. A high level of written and verbal communication is required, along with the capacity to use Canva to create visual resources. Experience gathering and processing learning-related data is preferable, along with a readiness to support the Dean with administrative tasks as required.
While there is flexibility surrounding the exact hours worked, the role requires working on Monday evenings during term time, and at hours during the week which maximise contact with students. As a busy residential College, there may occasionally be events which take place over the weekend.

Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) has welcomed the State Government’s decision to continue its funding commitment to non-government schools through to 2034, following the finalisation of the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement with the Federal Government.
Catholic Education South Australia has announced the first of multiple new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) to be delivered through a major partnership with Accord and Eden Academy.
The first ELC, co-located at Xavier College Two Wells, which will be known as Eden Grove is expected to open in Term 3, 2026. The $4 million purpose-built centre will cater for 141 children, offering care and learning from six weeks to five years of age. An additional Eden Grove ELC will open at Xavier College Riverlea Park in 2027.
