Kickstart a meaningful career in Children’s Education and Care as a permanent part-time Trainee in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), working 0.6 FTE (3 days per week)

This permanent part-time position is ideal for someone ready to start a long-term career in OSHC while completing a Diploma of School Age Education Care. Bring your passion, reliability, and willingness to learn.

  • Be part of a supportive and dynamic OSHC team
  • Gain valuable, hands-on experience while studying
  • Deliver engaging and safe activities for students before and after school
  • Receive structured mentoring throughout your traineeship

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine desire to build a long-term career in Outside School Hours Care
  • A positive, caring and professional approach to working with children
  • Commitment to completing a nationally recognised Diploma (study support provided)
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training (RRHAN-EC), and First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with staff members, students, and parents.
  • Patience, flexibility, and the ability to respond to staff and student needs.
  • High levels of confidentiality and proficiency in using information technology.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to uphold and contribute to the values of a Catholic College in the Jesuit tradition, including respect, service, and community
