We have an exciting opportunity for a Humanities Learning Area Leader (POR 2) to join St Columba College. This role provides leadership in the learning area in the following areas; curriculum planning and programming, pedagogy, teacher professional growth and coordinating the administration processes for the learning area.
Your Responsibilities:
Enhance literacy proficiency across all year levels including critical thinking, research skills and source analysis.
Model and support teachers to effectively use ICT System for documenting planning, assessment and recording student achievement.
Support and encourage collective and individual development within the learning area by facilitating and supporting to professional learning opportunities.
Enhance the participation overall academic achievement of students in Stage One and Stage Two Modern History.
Coordinate and support planning for the learning area using the Australian Curriculum and SACE across Years 6-12.
Demonstrate a commitment to uphold and contribute to the Anglican and Catholic ethos of the College.
You’ll need:
Current Teacher Registration in South Australia and relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience.
High level interpersonal skills to interact positively with the school community and be a positive role model and professional representative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to actively and positively uphold and contribute to the culture and ethos of the School
