The Opportunity
The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Officer is responsible for providing specialist support and advice to ensure the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and injury management systems, processes, and compliance for the Catholic Education Office (CEO). The position is also responsible for oversight of the online compliance training system for employees across more than 90 of our schools.
This is a 0.5 FTE part-time, permanent role with some flexibility to choose your span of hours and days of work.
Your Responsibilities:
About You:
We are looking for a degree qualified (or relevant experience) WHS professional who is passionate about promoting and providing a safe working environment. In addition to a working knowledge of WHS legislation, preferably in a self-insured environment, you will be engaging with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong administrative capabilities will also be essential in this role.
The succesful candidate will require HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting, or be willing to undertake training in order to become a Designated First Aider for the site.
