The Opportunity

St Joseph’s School Hectorville is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join our Pre-School teaching team for 12 months. Holding a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is essential criteria for this role.

• Monday, Tuesday and half day Wednesday
• 1 year contract from Term 3, 2025 to Term 2, 2026 inclusive

Key Responsibilities

Our Early Childhood Teachers in Pre-School provide young children with a strong foundation for learning and development of their social and emotional skills in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework. You will:

• Provide different experiences and activities that develop social connections, cooperation and motor skills
• Promote language development through storytelling, song and informal discussions
• Modify the learning environment to support child development

About You

• Current Teacher Registration in South Australia & Bachelor or Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and the Early Years Learning Framework
• Develop learning opportunities that are inclusive and engaging for each child so that individual learning plans and outcomes are achieved 
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with families, children and staff members
