Role Details

St Francis of Assisi College is seeking a permanent, full-time dedicated and passionate Teacher in the Science/Mathematics and /or Outdoor Education/HPE curriculm streams.

Any combination of the above is encouraged to apply.

This role is ideal for a dynamic educator who not only demonstrates excellence in teaching and learning but also understands and upholds the values and ethos of Catholic education.

Key Requirements:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the curriculum and school guidelines.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
• Assess and report on student progress in a timely and constructive manner.
• Integrate technology and innovative pedagogical approaches into teaching practice.
• Actively contribute to the academic, spiritual, and pastoral life of the school.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development programs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
• Uphold and model the Catholic values and mission of the school in all interactions and professional conduct.

Successful applicant will be required to undergo screening; 

• Copy of your Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum Training Certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of your Teachers Registration Certificate
• Copy of current DHS Working with Childrens Clearance (if applicable)
• Copy of current RRHAN Certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of CESA SAVA clearance (if applicable)
• Copy of Current First Aid certificate (if applicable)

Additional Information

**Earlier start date is offered by negotiation.

St Francis of Assisi College was Established in 2022, and will Offer years 7 to 12 from 2026.
