Education Support Officer - Curriculum

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Education Support Officer to join our vibrant school community at St Patrick’s School to assist in delivering a quality education to all students.

Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri - 9.00am - 3.00pm & Tues 9.00am - 2.30pm

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist students in small groups and one-on-one settings to support learning across all curriculum areas.
• Provide support to teachers in delivering lessons, including preparing materials, managing classroom activities, and assisting students as needed.
• Support a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment through the implementation of behavioural management strategies.
• Supervising and caring for students with formally identified special needs, following Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
• supporting teachers during excursions, sports days, and other school activities.
• Provide instruction to students within a structured learning environment.

About You

• Desirable to hold a Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Education Support (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in supporting student learning in a school setting.
• Be a team player, offering flexibility and willingness to support others.
• Good communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work and interact successfully with children.
• Able to work under direction, follow instructions and use initiative.
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
