Role Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Music Teacher/ Ensemble Coordinator permanent position, 0.8FTE, commencing 21 July 2025. 

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Identity and Mercy charism of our school using the Mercy Keys of Respect, Compassion, Gratitude, Courage and Creativity;
  • Share a deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary, innovative and inclusive pedagogies that are focused on student engagement, inquiry and co-constructed learning;
  • Coordinate, facilitate and develop choir involvement in Catholic Schools Music Festival and create opportunities for extracurricular Ensembles and Bands to perform at community and school events;
  • Coordinate, facilitate and develop a dynamic and inclusive music ensemble program;
  • Support the instrumental Teaching Team in preparing ensembles for performance;
  • Engage all members of the community in dynamic learning experiences to transform authentic, ecologically sustainable practices in our world;
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate in a dynamic and flexible learning environment;
  • Highlight contemporary examples of rich assessment and reporting strategies which deliver high quality learning for all children;
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader community;
  • Demonstrate pastoral care of all students and support them in developing personal responsibility.

The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form, First Aid and RRHAN.
