Role Details

Are you a dynamic and collaborative educator who can inspire students in both classroom and ensemble settings while contributing to the ongoing growth of the school's Music program?

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time permanent Secondary Music Teacher, commencing Term 3 2025 (21 July 2025). Part-time arrangements will be considered for suitable applicants. 

As a member of the Music faculty, you will contribute to a dynamic and evolving curriculum that fosters performance skills and collaborative music-making. Working across Years 7-12 and as part of the college’s growing co-curricular music program, this position also includes opportunities for suitable applicants to teach SACE Stage 1 and 2.

You will need

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia
  • Strong understanding of a Kodály-inspired approach to pedagogy and its application in the classroom
  • Experience in fostering musical literacy and aural skills development
  • A background in strings is highly desirable, as ensemble offerings and instrumental opportunities is continuing to expand for students
  • A passion and dedication to support diversity, including diverse learning, culture and faith backgrounds
  • Actively support and contribute to the college as a Catholic College in the Edmund Rice Tradition
  • An ability to create an engaging learning environment that is inclusive of all students, particularly those for whom English is an additional language and those with additional needs
  • Communicate effectively to build positive partnerships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community
  • Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible learning environment.
