Are you a dynamic and collaborative educator who can inspire students in both classroom and in the practical setting while developing a curriculum program that both excites and challenges students?

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time permanent Secondary Food & Hospitality Teacher, with a preference for applicants who are also able to teach Child Studies. This position is commencing Term 3 2025 (21 July 2025). Part-time arrangements will be considered for suitable applicants. 

With the opening of the new Technologies Precinct (scheduled for 2026), the successful applicant will have the unique opportunity to prepare and resource the new state of the art practical learning spaces and develop curriculum in readiness for the new subject launch in 2026.

Suitable applicants will have opportunities to teach Food & Hospitality and/or Child Studies in Senior Years.

The entirely new Food & Hospitality spaces are a key element of the Technologies precinct being built and developed throughout 2025.

You will need

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia
  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Identity and Edmund Rice Tradition
  • Have a passion and dedication to support diversity, including diverse learning, culture and faith backgrounds
  • Demonstrate a passion for developing new learning spaces and learning opportunities within Food & Technology
  • Create a dynamic learning environment that is engaging and inclusive of all students particularly those for whom English is an additional language and those with additional needs
  • Communicate effectively to build positive working relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community
  • Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible and practical learning environment.
