Role Details

Catherine McAuley School invites applications from experienced or Graduate Teachers to join our vibrant school community.

This Year 6 Teacher, full-time (1.0FTE) fixed term contract commences ASAP and will conclude on Friday 12 December 2025.

  • The ability to nurture a positive classroom learning environment with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and inclusion
  • A commitment to implementing teaching pedagogies and practices which are contemporary, inclusive, innovative and evidence based
  • The ability and willingness to differentiate teaching and classroom practices in order to support learners with varying academic, social and emotional needs
  • A commitment to develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, parents and colleagues

About You

  • Current SA Teachers Registration
  • Ability to use data to inform teaching and learning outcomes
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment and openness to ongoing learning and continuous improvement

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working With Children Check, CESA e-screening + Applicant Declaration Form, First Aid and RRHAN-EC.

  2. Cover letter briefly outlining your experience, qualifications and motivation to apply for the role (2-page max)

A resume/CV which includes your employment history and the names and contact details (including phone numbers) of up to 3 referees.  At least two of your referees must be able to talk about your work in a primary school environment.  Please include your current Principal, unless you are a new Graduate
