We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Education Support Officer to join our team at St Joseph's School Kingswood.
Your Responsibilites include:
• Assist in student learning, including evaluation and assessments.
• Assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising classrooms and intervention programs.
• Supervise and care for students with formally identified special needs.
• Assist with identifying student learning or behaviour challenges.
About You:
• A Certificate IV in Education Support and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role. Prior experience working in an education environment is highly desirable.
• You will actively support and contribute to the Catholic ethos of St Joseph's School and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and provide assistance to all students, families, staff and visitors.
• Ability to use initiative to support and engage students with their learning, while actively supporting their social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Ability to work under the direction of and collaboratively with the Assistant Principal, teachers and other Support Officers to support successful learning and wellbeing outcomes.
