Role Details

Emmaus Catholic School is looking for a part-time Italian Teacher (0.6 FTE) on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsbilities

  • Plan a comprehensive learning program in line with Australian Curriculum
  • Address students’ varying intellectual, emotional and physical abilities in teaching practice
  • Establish positive and effective relationships with students
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and achievement
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with students, colleagues, parents/caregivers and others at all times

About You:

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia and relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience
  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic ethos at Emmaus Catholic School.
  • Employ high quality teaching and learning practices appropriate for an Italian Language Program in Primary Years context.
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues, students and parents to develop positive and inclusive relationships.
  • Employ effective behaviour education strategies, aligned with Trauma Sensitive Practice.
  • Demonstrate a passion for community and a willingness and capacity to contribute to the Emmaus Catholic School community.

In addition to the necessary teaching qualifications, the successful applicant must also have a sound grasp of the language, for teaching at the primary school level.

The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form, First Aid and RRHAN-EC.
