Role Details

The Opportunity:

Due to the retirement of our long-standing OSHC/Vacation Care Director, we are seeking applications from qualified and passionate educators for a 1.0 FTE permanent OSHC/Vacation Care Director position. The position will lead the Assistant Director and OSHC Educators to provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care. The position will commence on Monday, 9 June 2025 (or as negotiated) to allow for sufficient handover of the role. The role is 37.5 hours a week/46 weeks per year. The hours can be negotiated with the Principal. 

About You:

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Leadership experience including supervising staff and managing complex situations
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Experience in children's programming
  • Well developed observation and reporting skills
  • Experience in administrative duties related to OSHC operations including financial management
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs, including those children with additional needs

Saint David's Parish School is a co-educational, Catholic primary school for children from Reception to Year 6, located in Tea Tree Gully. The strength of our school lies in the strong focus on curriculum, student wellbeing and its sense of community. 

Additional Information

The successful applicant must have or be willing to obtain:

  • Qualifications recognised by ACECQA for working in a child-related industry
  • A current DHS Working with Children Check
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training
  • A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place framework
  • Food Safety Training
