St Mary’s Memorial School is seeking a committed and proactive Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join our school community. This part-time, permanent position is ideal for a skilled and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for students, staff, and families.
In this role, you will work across a broad range of responsibilities, ensuring our school grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard in accordance with WHS requirements. You’ll work collaboratively with the school team and contractors, providing day-to-day support while demonstrating strong initiative and a solutions-focused approach.
The successful applicant will:
Demonstrate experience and competence in general building, grounds, and facilities maintenance.
Show a strong commitment to work health and safety and safe work practices.
Be organised, self-motivated, and able to work under low supervision.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with staff, students, and external contractors.
Be prepared to undertake training as required.
The successful applicant must:
Hold a current acceptable Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance & screening to work in Catholic Education South Australia.
Hold current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings (RRHAN-EC)
Comply with CESA's Code of Conduct and WHS legislation.
