The Opportunity

This is a part-time replacement teaching position. Usual days of work will be Monday-Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teacher at St Therese school, you will:
• Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, and parents/caregivers to facilitate positive
learning by students and engage in educational reform.
• Possess a deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Crossways and utilise
contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and quality
outcomes for all learners.
• Tailor your teaching approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of your students.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation
and student growth.
• Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students (including
developing Personal Plans for Learning, as appropriate).
• Communicate effectively to build positive partnerships with students, parents, colleagues, and
the broader community.
• Use Restorative Practices and Trauma-aware practices to assist young people to excel.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
• Current Teacher Registration in South Australia.
• Excellent knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogies to promote learning for all
students.
• High level interpersonal skills and the ability to be a positive role model and professional
representative for the school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to problem solve and ensure required timelines are
met.
• Ability to utilise contemporary and engaging pedagogies to promote high levels of engagement.
