Role Details

We are seeking a dynamic, resourceful performing arts teacher who will be a valued member of the Antonio Catholic School teaching team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess Music and other areas of performing arts such as Drama and/or Dance to students in Reception to Year 6
  • Co-ordinate and lead school performing arts performances and programs such as the Festival Choir, drum corps, ensembles and community carols evening
  • Co-ordinate the instrumental tuition program

 

About you

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity of Antonio Catholic School.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a contemporary, inclusive pedagogy for teaching and co-ordinating a high quality music and performing arts program.
  • Demonstrate experience in and passion for fostering student development within classroom, instrumental, choral/ensemble and school performances.
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with learners, colleagues, parents/carers and the broader community.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of contemporary practices for developing student responsibiity and wellbeing.
  • Be a dynamic educator who is committed to ongoing personal and professional learning; working collaboratively as part of a Professional Learning Community.

The successful candidates will be required to supply the below:

  • South Australian Teachers Registration
  • Working With Children Check
  • Full Day (7 hour) Responding to Abuse & Neglect Training
  • RRHAN-EC update (where applicable)
