St Francis de Sales is the only Early Learning to Year 12 Catholic co-educational College located in the heart of Mount Barker. Catering for students from their first days in Reception, or for those that join us earlier in the St Francis de Sales Alive Catholic Early Learning Centre (ages 6 months – 5 years), to the completion of secondary schooling in Year 12, provides a unique opportunity for the College to connect with students and families through their entire learning journey. Families are invited to work in partnership with the College throughout the entire journey their child takes from commencement to Graduation.
We offer a Term 3 Reception intake each calendar year. Our secondary education begins in Year 7 and subject pathways are available to suit the personalised needs of the student. The College offers a broad range of academic, vocational and sporting programs, including our Basketball Academy for students in Year 8-12.
With the 2021 opening of rebuilt Early Learning - Year 6 facilities, we have delivered award winning state-of-the-art learning spaces providing for the growth opportunities of all students. Light-filled indoor learning spaces that link seamlessly to outdoor, nature-based learning spaces, cater for the range of modes of learning required in contemporary education settings. Our students thrive in nature learning and nature play spaces that connect them to the natural environment and reinforce our shared stewardship of our world.

Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) has announced that it will establish a new multi-million school in Strathalbyn.
The primary school will be a campus of St Francis de Sales College and will cater for students in Reception – Year 6 with the possibility of expansion to Year 9 depending on enrolment demand.
We are pleased to be partnering with CESA and Hickinbotham to open what will be South Australia’s first Catholic school in the Alexandrina Council region.
