Catholic Education South Australia congratulates the “Class of 2020” on their outstanding SACE results. 3,287 Catholic school graduates from across 33 Catholic Schools have obtained their SACE.
“This year’s student cohort can be justifiably proud of their achievements. In a year like no other, not even a pandemic has been a barrier to our students,” said Dr Neil McGoran, Director of Catholic Education SA.
Highlights include:
“I congratulate the students on their focus and determination. They have demonstrated incredible resilience during a challenging year. I also express my thanks to the students’ families who have been alongside them throughout this year and, indeed, throughout their thirteen years of schooling.”
Dr McGoran also paid tribute to the teachers and school staff who have supported this year’s cohort.
“Thank you for your dedication, tenacity and collegiality during this extraordinary year. Clearly, there have been many challenges but, in each case, you have overcome them and have done so with such grace and goodwill.”
“Today is a day of great celebration! Well done!”
A number of students from Catholic schools undertake the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a senior secondary program that is administered globally. Their results will be available on January 2 2020.
The winning student projects have been announced in the 2020 ‘STEM XR Challenge’, including one that it is cleaning up a local polluted creek.
The XR Challenge is a joint initiative between Catholic Education SA and Adelaide-based Lumination, one of Australia’s leading innovators in education technology and immersive IT solutions.
