The Marvellous micro-organisms is total unit which is fully aligned to the Australian Curriculum. It provides opportunities for students to develop an understanding of the role of micro-organisms in food and medicine. Students investigate the conditions micro-organisms need to grow, learn about yeast and the bread-making process, and research the development of penicillin.

The Rising salt is a total unit fully aligned to the Australian Curriculum through hands-on investigations (which can be undertaken at home), students explore how physical conditions of the environment, including methods of watering and salinity, affect the growth and survival of living things. With support, they plan and conduct an open investigation and design solutions to improve agricultural sustainability.

Cool Australia

Cool Australia have developed a full unit of work and inquiry based on Climate Change. This supports students to examine how the changing climate has an impact on the growth and survival of living things.  NB requires a login.
