Patterns of Land Use: Students develop questions which guide their investigation into the patterns of land use within Japanese society. Using a variety of texts and resources, students research, analyse and select information which will enable them to make an informed decision about the social, cultural and political significance of land features within Japanese society. Students choose from an array of presentation options.
Movement of Populations task: Students explore the social, cultural and political reasons for the movement of populations throughout the Shogunate period. Students apply their understanding of the significance of individuals and events as well as collating and analysing statistical and geographical data to form reasoned conclusions. Students are to use relevant geographical terminology and graphic representations to present their findings, arguments and ideas.
