Role Details

The Creative Arts and Design Technology Assistant (Grade 2) is accountable to the Curriculum Leader: Creative Arts and Design Technology and provides support in an efficient and practical manner to the operations and teaching requirements of the Learning Area.

The Creative Arts and Design Technology Assistant will:

  • Have the capacity to demonstrate some relevant theoretical knowledge and will have the technical knowledge to perform a wide variety of duties, usually without detailed instruction;
  • Apply a range of well-developed skills to a variety of expected and unpredictable problems consistent with their knowledge and skill;
  • With discretion and judgement apply professional assistance to students and staff to enhance and support curriculum based projects and assignments;
  • Take responsibility for their own work, health and safety and outcomes to specified work place and duty standards.
