Catholic Education has been present in Whyalla since 1942 when St Teresa’s School was established. In 2008 Samaritan College was formed through the amalgamation of St Teresa’s, Our Lady Help of Christians School and Saint John’s College.
We educate boys and girls from Reception to Year 12 on three sites (two primary and one secondary) based on our motto of ‘Faith, Wisdom, Compassion’. Year 7 has been part of the secondary setting since 2017 and a second Reception intake mid-year has been re-introduced to provide primary parents with more choice regarding school start dates. Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs continue to expand and construction of new facilities at our primary campuses will commence in 2018.
The college has its own uniform shop and secondary students love the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program. Our musical ‘Cinderella’ will be performed in Term 4 – just one of many extra-curricular opportunities offered!
The successful candidate will be expected to undergo our screening process.
