Should you be interested in applying, please read our information document and submit your application including the application form by 9:00am Monday 21st May, 2018.

We are passionate about education in our country areas and as part of this we aim to encourage and support the best teachers to work in our country schools.

Choosing a career in country teaching is about a lifestyle as much as a rewarding career in teaching.

In order to support students who are equally as passionate about establishing a life and a teaching career in the country South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) offer annual Country Scholarships for our aspiring teaching students.

Each year the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools offers up to five Catholic Country Teaching Scholarships to third and fourth year education graduates including those enrolled in a post-graduate educational degree.

Scholarships are available to students who are in their final two years of a full-time teacher education program at a tertiary institution in South Australia. Students who are in their final year of study are also encouraged to apply for a one year scholarship.

Catholic South Australian country schools are determined by being 70 km away from the Adelaide GPO.

Recipients of the Scholarship receive:

  • Financial support of $2,500 per year of scholarship
  • Nonā€financial support provided by the Catholic Education Office through assistance and guidance in the application process for county schools.
