Students with English as an Additional Language (EAL)

EAL students are those whose first language is a language other than English and who require additional support to assist them to develop proficiency in English.

Students for whom English is an additional language require specific support to build the English language skills needed to access the general curriculum, in addition to learning area-specific language structures and vocabulary. [Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) 2014]

In partnership with schools, we help to create educational environments where the dignity of each student is respected and learning processes are inclusive, formative, challenging and engaging.
