Our Lady of La Vang is a purpose built Catholic specialist educational facility for children and young people with intellectual disability. It is a centre of learning and teaching grounded in contemporary evidence based educational practices, theories of learning and child development.
We highly value the capabilities of each student. The curriculum is based on the Australian Curriculum, General Capabilities and South Australian Certificate of Education in the Senior Years. We work collaboratively with parents, care-givers, and therapists to provide highly individualised programs.
The school has an artist in residence programme which provides the students with the opportunity to be spontaneous, joyful and free to enjoy the ability to express their learning journey in the moment. We seek to engage the artist in every child.
We provide an environment that emotionally, intellectually, psychologically, physically and spiritually nourishes each student.
